Zan is one of my favorite NPCs--a Jedi Master, and a master spy. During the war (before he was a Jedi), he worked from within the Imperial military to help the Bothans get the information they needed to bring down the Emperor. He's also a bit of a goofball. I'm not sure if he's just a tad more dopey than he lets on, or if he really likes screwing with people. Despite the actiony pose, he seldom gets to be a badass, and even when he does, he's as amusing as he is impressive. Poor Zan. He's shown in these clothes because he hate-hate-hates the Jedi robes. No idea why. I suspect he thinks they're corny.
What I learned: One of the great things about Photoshop is the ability to adjust out the freaky errors that appear in the acctual drawing. I hate that, because it always happens when I get something *just right,* except that I realize it's in the wrong place.
Scanny scanny, zap zap zap. Hur.
Anyway, the pose is good, except I feel like it's missing something. I think I should've put him in a long coat. At least, I think the pose is good. Is it? *sigh* I have such a hard time telling until I put the thing down for a week and then come back to it. Which I should've done with this, I suppose. In the future, when I'm working on something I seriously want to look good (which actually wasn't really the case with this), I think I'll do the guidelines, avoid it for a week, and then go back and make adjustments before I start filling in the body. The things we learn, eh?
