Well, there's a bit of that steampunk Star Wars going around, you know, and our particular group...well, we do like the Star Wars, and the steampunk, and our GM is just a sucker for a Victorian setting. So when my sister remarked one day how easy it would be, really, to have a planet where people tapped geothermal power and preferred the aesthetic of a simpler time, it simply became a matter of fate.
And of course I had to draw it.
Our Jedi, Ree Shevan, is ready to do battle for justice no matter what she's wearing.
I love her dress! <3 She *seems* like what a Victorian Jedi would be like - proper, polite, courteous, but at the same time, deadly!
The other one with the pistols, I could have seen her in breeches, as a Victorian tomboy, but this one - complete lady. But then, you said the other was a Princess, so I guess it wouldn't have fit with her personality...
Wow this is a great image! It looks like you have really taken a quantum leap forward in your work! I would love to convince you to do a pin-up for my site at [link] where we do Star Wars fan comics and RPG material.
I do feel inclined. I'm looking forward to it, but I want to finish drawing the group first.
I'm thrilled that it's inspired you to the point of research! I'm not sure how historically accurate it is: I mean, I certainly made up some of it. Women didn't normally go around wearing tuxedo coats, for one thing. But hopefully the tailoring at least takes something from the time period.
