My First Ink by Bluesrat My First Ink by Bluesrat
Since I dreamed about him in cartoon style, I figured I ought to draw him in cartoon style...which requires inking, which I've been practicing but sucking at steadily.

This is notably better than previous attempts at inking. At least I'm not embarrassed to show it in public. Possibly I should be. I still don't know enough about inking to even tell whether this is any good or not. But I put it up against the pencils as a point of comparison.

At any rate, it's the guy from my dream again. I'll be coloring this. I say "ink" and "pencil," but actually it's all digital. OpenCanvas for the sketching and Adobe Illustrator for the inking.

Critique desired? Oh hell yes! I need to know if I suck and how to get better!

I love him. His face is awesome! Though, I think you used too small of a small brush for the size he ended up at. The thin lines kinda disappear too much. A definite improvement, however. :D

Oh, I see what you mean. I was afraid they'd wind up too ostentatious, but I just scaled him down and re-exported him from Illustrator, and the lines look much better.
