Knight of the Church - colored

Well, it's finally finished. I'm fairly pleased with it, even though the background is just something I threw together. I know I mentioned setting his sword on fire, but I think it looks better this way (since I'm too lazy to do the work of the flame highlights, etc.). Maybe someday I'll take the time to do it right.

Like most of my work, this is sketched by hand with mechanical pencil, then crunched in Photoshop 7.

What I learned: The beginnings of photomanipulation; improving with Image Adjustment tools; finally getting the hang of hands and good contrast (it'd look better if my monitor were calibrated properly); trying to get a handle on metal.
