In apo if I render witha a white background, of course sometimes even the ones with a black or other color work...I have photopaint, and I just layer the pics that I want to combine... I guess I don't know how to explain it, and I am sure there is an easy way to do it. MacFlora does a lot of layering, and has been doing this computer graphics stuff a lot longer than I have, why don't you give her a jingle...just a thought. Can you render the xenodreams with another backgground color, and how long does one of those renders take?

Ues I can change the backround color. the renders vary depending on size.
I've been rendering at 2400x1800 then resizing to remove jaggies. Those renders take from an hour to an hour and a half.
As for what you said about layering I need to know how to import more than one image to layer. What terminology does photopaint use?? It might help when I look in the gimp.

In photopaint, it is import...I have the gimp, but do not understand it at all...I have a question for you, when I render in apo, the highest I can render (in the drop down box) is 2048, which is over memory or something lke that...now my son says that if I want to print them, it has to be rendered larger...is it the computer itself that determines the highest render?

I'm not sure about that teddy, but if you look you have to check the 64 max memory when doing that large of render. So no I don't think it's completely the 'puter.
I have no problem rendering the large size with Xeno, just takes longer like Apo does.
Jam and Paz were the ones who got me up to speed with resizing. It's not as important with flames so to speak but with shapes it's necessary to rid the jaggies.
