We usually have a roast of some sort...roast beef, or chicken, with gravy (home made of course) roast potatoes, cranberries, sausage/onion/cornbread stuffing (for the chicken, yorkshire puddings for the beef) and lots of veggies
Dessert is christmas pudding and custard (Scottish tradition) My son James, usually gets chocolate cheesecake and ice-cream lol

Hi Marilyn!! It's always been pretty much of a tradition around here (before I retired) for me to have a outside barbeque regardless of the weather!! The cold made things a little more of a challenge and especially if it was snowing or something like that, but at least I didn't have to worry about the flies bothering me while trying to cook!! s

Hello dear Marilyn!! Oh normally I don't worry about the weather at all when I do this, however it will probably be awhile before I do it again ... I just can't afford to do these kinds of things anymore!!
"Yes" ... that's what I DID, but don't know if I'll be able to do it again anytime soon if at all!!
By all means you could come over here to our place, but there won't be any barbeque ... sorry!!
Please take care and Happy Holidays to you and your Family for sure!!
After doing holidays for 36 years my daughter now does all the cooking. Thanksgiving is ham since none of us really likes turkey all that much and Christmas is roast beef plus all the sides and desert I wish you a wonderful holiday.
well didn't get the birthday party that we wanted, but we did see Grandma today. Took us 45 minutes or so to drive there and we just got back short time ago. My brother, who is a good driver, picked us up and drove us home
