"So Harry has kind of a wonky cross
that's trials and suffering. And then this, this could be the sun
which means happiness. So.. you're going to suffer
but you're gonna be happy about it
Ron Weasley, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanI'm going to see the HP7pt2 midnight premier tonight. As a fan of the series who read every book and who waited on fishhooks for them to be released...as a fan who couldn't believe her ears when they said they would make a movie out of the first book...as a fan who nearly fainted when they built a miniature Hogwarts and Hogsmede in Florida...I'm bracing myself. And to be honest, I'm doing pretty damn fine. To celebrate this glorious event (and quell the butterflies which are just now starting to flutter around in mah tummy) here's a HP quiz!
1. If you went to Hogwarts which house would you be sorted in?
Slytherin. I'm quite cunning, and I do have a devilish streak in me- but above all else I'm very ambitious.
2. Have you ever been to the HP midnight release?
No. Tonight will be my first (and last) midnight release. There had better be people dressed up, that's all I'm sayin'.
3. What did you think of the Deathly Hallows p1?
I. Loved. It. Although, that goes without saying because even if it was utter trash I'd still love it. I still cant get over how unbelievably lucky I am that MY series, my FAVORITE series of books was made into a series of films.
4. How many times have you reread the books?
I've read them all at least three times. DH 3 and a half, HBP 4.
5. Whose death was the saddest?
Severus Snape. I knnooww after the movie people (who have not read the books) are going to realize why he is my favorite character, why I've stuck with him since the very beginning of the books, and why I love him. His death struck me an enormous blow. The pointlessness of it. The finality. The pain and suffering. And those last words. "Look at me." My sweet Prince.
6. If you went to Hogwarts would you rather have an owl, a cat, or a rat?
Owl. They are dead useful. Truth be told, I would have put my wizard parents through hell asking for a particular type of owl. But lucky for me they are common to this part of the country and wouldn't be hard to find. Owls are loyal and great pets (in the books), so I'd have me one of them.
7. What do you think of the movie Half-Blood Prince?
Well. I thought the humor in it was hilarious. However, they turned the movie into a big ol' sloshy love story. The romance in the book was minimal, though still hilarious. There wasn't enough GINNY AND HARRY. And QUIDDITCH! Needs more potions book. Also, the movies dont show just how twisted and frightening Voldemort really is. I loved the movie, but I would have focused less on the romance were I the screenwriter.
8. What do you think of the deathly hallows being split in two?
I have always felt like the movies were not long enough to convey what Jo put into the books. There's no way people would be able to make a movie that could cover everything....BUT THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 did a DAMN FINE job of following the book NEARLY word for word! More HP. Yeah...I'm down with that!
9. Have you read the Tales of Beedle the Bard?
I HAVE! I still have ONE last story to read. Babbity Rabbity. I'm saving it for when it gets cold outside and I can read it with my homeboys and my
. We go into hardcore HarryPotter mode during the winter months.
10. When did you first become a Potter fan?
I was in 5th grade when the first book came out. Our school banned the books halfway through my teacher reading it. I begged my mom to go and get the book (It was all I ever talked about) and she finally consented and bought a copy. From then on- HP has been a part of my life. When I turned 11 in 6th grade....imagine. D:
Snape. Uhm...I'll pick someone different just so all my answers aren't Snape. I also really like the Malfoys. They are such brats.
Snape. AHAHA JK JK! Hrmm...Lessee, I love Abraxan horses, unicorns, thestrals, kneazles, and nifflers.
Deathly Hallows, then HBP
Hogwarts! Hands down. Where else is there? Hogsmede is also a very nice place though!
WHO CAN PICK A FAVORITE WEASLEY?! Bill. >_> I guess I can...
Ron and Hermione 4 ever
This or that
Gryffindor or Slytherin?
Gryffindor 4 ever. Though- seeing as I AM a Slytherin I gotta give my props to that house too. Not everyone from Slytherin was craptastic.
Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff?
Hufflepuff, because they are so fun! The characters from the Hufflepuff house are really quite vibrant.
Fred or George?
>:[ Forge. No wait Gred. No wait...
Ginny or Luna?
Oohhhh.....This is surprisingly tough! Luna, simply because she's just so out-of-nowhere all the time and I LOVE that about her. But I love Ginny too. Her spunk and ferocity, that fire, just so cool!
Butterbeer or Firewhiskey?
Butterbeer of course!
Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley?
Hogsmeade, it would remind me of being home. <3 Hogwarts. *Sniffle*
Books or Movies?
THE BOOKS! The movies don't give 'em enough justice. Though like I said before, I CANT EVEN CONVEY how enormously happy I am that these books that were my life were put on the big screen. I'm so lucky, so happy, so grateful. But nothing will ever compare to the books. Ever. Unless...it were all real.
Half Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows?
Which would I rather have? Hmm...BE a Master of Death of HAVE the Master of Potions...decisions decisions. GIMME DAT HALF BLOOD PRINCE! *insaneflailing*
Philosopher's Stone or Chamber of Secrets?
Where it all began. The Sorcerer's Stone.
Snape or Slughorn?
PROFESSOR SEVERUS SNAPE!!!!11!1!!one!!!!
Lupin or Sirius?

Harry/Ginny or Harry/Hermione?
WHAT THE FUCK YOU SHUT YOUR DAMNED DELUSIONAL MOUTH. HARRY/GINNY 4 LYF.
Lavender Brown or Parvati Patil?
Parvati is WAY cooler. Though they both are nimrods.
Seamus Finnigan or Dean Thomas?
DEAN. Because HE HAS A TARANTULA LIKE JUDAS. <3
Kreacher or Dobby?
*Prepares to be lynched* Kreacher. WHAT?! They made him look AWESOME in the movies. I just wish they had showed happy!housewife! Kreacher. Dobby, I still love him. But Kreacher was my fave between them.
Muggleborn or Pureblood?
Muggleborn. The Purebloods were all kinda rotten apples in the books.
Dan or Rupert?
Bellatrix or Narcissa?
Also HARD. I liked Bella because she was just so totally insane over Voldemort. Dat bloodlust. Dat insanity. Dat WEDDING RING BELLA. Lawl. I also love Cissa because- well, even though she's made bad decisions and is on the 'bad' side, she was just showing what many (if not most) of us would truly do in a situation like that. Try and survive.
Voldemort or Tom Riddle?
Voldemort. God damn. *Fans self*
Hedwig or Crookshanks?
Hedwig. She was perfect, beautiful. Loyal. Her death hurt.
Harry Potter for lyf.
