I chose to look at this one first because I'm a horse person. The first thing that stands out is that the composition is very strong. It has a very stable (pardon the pun) feeling, it makes it feel peaceful. However, it's all in one place on the canvas. Instead you can try a triangle composition, instead of a rectangle to keep it all from just being in the middle. You can achieve this easily by having one of the horses slightly larger, signaling that it is closer to the viewer.
Something I'd work on is color. It's very flat. Even though the horse coat colors are spot on, the shading lacks depth because it's made of greys. Most of the time shadows reflect the sky color, so you can easily use blues on low opacity.
If you use greyscale mode, you can see how color affects the piece. overall this has to do with darkness and light, not hue. in other words the difference between black and white and not green and red.
Overall, it's charming, and the viewer's eye travels straight to the main focus--the horses.
