The Koa'nesk

The Koa’nesk crash landed on Methy after attacking the Terran colony ship, the Epimetheus, on its way out of the Milky Way galaxy. The Epimetheus crew and their AI system put the koa’nesk into stasis by using the bonded feature of their technology. When they found themselves in another galaxy with no way to return, they sought revenge on the Terrans and started a seven-year-long war. 

Koa’nesk do not have a spoken language and communicate entirely by telepathy or written symbols. Their mental “voices” can overpower many other species, so they require advanced training if they plan to travel.

Since their homeworld is mostly aquatic they spend as much time in water as they can. Ironically, they’ve been forced to settle in the most arid land on Methy, after climate change from the Koa’nesk War dried up the shallows their ship had landed. Even so, they refuse to relocate the hub.
