I haven't fully committed to recreating Link's swords just yet, but this is a nice start as any. :)

Double Helix Sword is just only the fan name. The official name is just the Fierce Deity's Sword. Just a piece of info for you :D

Just how long is this sword anyway? compared to FD Link(who is about 7 ft tall) I've estimated this thing at 8 ft long, still this sword is badassery in physical form

I think FD Link is more like 8 feet tall.

I used that statue of FD Link to scale him properly, sword came out 8 ft long, so thats what I went with

while it doesn't look like it, this sword, for it's size being roughly body length, is a lot more practical then the Buster Sword, or any other Body Length Sword for one primary reason, compared to thise it would be considerably lighter, and wouldn't have quite as much sideways resistance by not having that big, flat, solid surface. Quite frankly, if you were hellbent on being a bad ass with an oversized sword, this would be your best bet.
