Oh hey look ! I watched a film. :D

Ignore the fact that I have no clue how Rome looks like.

I have no idea what film this is, but I can feel the tension. Also, I don't know how to say this, but like...I love how you used almost exclusively muddy colors, but the whole piece doesn't look muddy. Or like it does, but in a good way? Like an intentional way (the way a film noir looks "too dark" in a good way) And the slight redness on his nose and cheeks, I know you do that a lot, but it is really really working here

The film is called "The man from U.N.C.L.E" and it's a comedy- action agent film, which takes place in the 60's. He's the KGB agent and he's kinda takes things more seriously than the others (hence the tension).
I tried to get a red brick colour for the tiles, but I didn't want it to be super red, which tends to happen when using Watercolour pencils. So I used similar colours and black together with this red.
Actually I am not super happy with this piece, because my scanner ruined the colours. It made it all too light. The scene was suppose to take place at night (like the candle is on and the fountain is lighted up). I think that's the reason it looks more "muddy" than it's suppose to. XD
Hehehe I like my red noses. :P

Btw thank you for all the lovely comments on my other drawings. They really cheered me up !

I might try watching it then, i enjoy movies about something "serious" that isn't taking it too seriously

Dude, I know what you mean about trying to get the right color, i always have that issue when doing backgrounds and whatnot, even on the computer. And yes, scanners always ruin everything XP (I always tweak it a bit in photoshop to try to get it back to the original, but it isn't perfect) But I still think it's "muddy" in a good way. I wish I could see the original, I'll just assume that it's glorious

Oh no problem, I'd gotten way too behind on all your awesome art, and I spent a night or two going through it all XD (still have to read Excavation tho)

The plot itself is okay. The serious part is that WW3 might happen. The story itself might be a bit predictable (according to my friend, I on the other hand was surprised when certain things happened XD), but the soundtrack is great and the characters themselves are interesting. It's definitely a feel good movie.

Maybe one day I manage to find a better scanner and scan all my drawings again. Or maybe I could, just take a photo of it. Oh you ! It's not one of my best works, but it's definitely one of my favourite.

Oh my! Did I draw so much, that you needed a whole night to go through it all ?? XD Gosh. It doesn't feel like it.
Alas poor "Excavation". I stopped doing that series, because I messed up the management and I over complicated the structure. :/ But hey! I hope you'll enjoy the ones that did manage to get uploaded. :)

Well as long as it's a feel good movie, then it's worth a try in my book

Well a good camera can really make a difference in photographing art, just make sure it's nice and flat, you have good lighting, and your shadow isn't falling on it

Well when I say "night", I really mean "evening" cuz I'm not a night person XD But I just have a tendency to get really behind on stuff ^^;
And awwww, well that's okay. I think you should feel proud of what you did do instead of focusing on what you didn't  A lot of people don't even manage to make it to the halfway point :) And you learned new things, and things you should avoid, so it's a good experience

Yes definitely give it a go.

I can give it a try this weekend. I got a new camera, so it might work.

Haha. Don't worry. It happens easily, when one is busy and has their own schedule. I am grateful that you took the time to go through everything.
Aw thanks. I did learn a few things, like drawing in Ink wash takes a heck of a time, that a comic buffer is live saving, keeping a strict but frequent uploading schedule and not being ready to draw a comic yet with a proper storyline.  XD Though my friend is a bit sad, because he really like Pepe. Poor Pepe.

I've never seen that film but it looks interesting at least based on this drawing.
