Collaborative project between *freelancah and me! :D

It got dragged a bit (half a year or a bit more :p).... *freelancah gave me a beautiful volcano-render and I felt so free to paint over it. Then it went back and forth for minimal edits until we got this one here :D

Hope you like it! :)

By the way, you can get a wallpaper-pack by hitting the download-button. It contains the following sizes:
:bulletblue: 4:3 -- 2048x1536
:bulletblue: 16:9 -- 2560x1440
:bulletblue: 16:10 -- 2560x1600
Just scale it down if you need to ;)

Also, if you fav this one, please head over to his version here, too :)
He provides a Making Of as well. Check it out!

Facts......
- Original resolution: 5922x3620 (apparently, we cropped it at some point :p)
- Total working time: too much to count, really. freelancah started this back in... March, 2011 (?) or so... and quite a bit of our non-existing free time went onto this piece
- Final PSD-size: 904MB. Should've merged a little more often. Almost killed my computer, haha

Awesome scene, though I wouldn't want to be that close to it.

One can never be too close to something :p
It's just that, in some cases, one will have some serious problems getting back home xD

Or getting anywhere, in this case. ;)

I love this but...

When a volcano blows, it'll knock down trees for miles around (not to mention anything in the sky) [link]

I am pretty sure this depends on multiple factors, such as the explosion strength and the location of the surroundings. We certainly saw the eruption quite a bit smaller than Mt. St. Helens ;)

Yeah, right after I posted that I wanted to take it back :-)

Haha, no worries, this at least shows me that there are still people left that actually put thought into what they're saying ;)
