The Shocking News

So, I thought I'd introduce a newer character of mine with some lore art! This is Mercer; she's an MLW M420W. For some of you train enthusiasts, I'm sure you can grasp what her paint scheme is just from her numbers. ;) She's fairly sweet and down to earth, but also isn't afraid to be stern; within the train yard she's living, she's an older locomotive and is often seen as wise.

Mercer is getting news that her fiancé has passed while out working, and she feels nothing but devastated and upset for getting such news. She wouldn't expect to never see him again after having such high hopes to see him come back, and she'd give him great "news" upon seeing him. But it won't ever happen.

I'd honestly say I'm pretty proud of this as I don't draw locomotives that often. The only thing I'd change is that she feels a little too short in the artwork; I struggled with the angle a lot.

Even still, I still really like how I drew her!
