Morning Troubles (story included)

been a while since I've made a comic or anything digital for that matter!

I came up with this comic strip where dot has to fix lilly, and in the story it shows how they both start to bond!

and just a little hint, even though I didn't include it, dot does eventually become Lilly's owner

It was a very foggy morning, the sun had just started to rise, dot walked over to empty lot by all factory buildings to see the small Acura... She had gotten a call from the owner of the car asking if she could fix it. The problem she heard stated was that the poor little car wouldn't start.

She walked through all the fog up to the little car with the keys. she unlocked the door and opened it.

"Pretty nice interior... Looks in great condition!" Dot said to herself, looking at the silk seats and nicely clean dashboard.

The little car, in a drowsy state, peaked over at dot confused of who she was. She was very tired as she had just gotten waken by someone who wasn't her owner. As dot opened her door, she didn't really respond.

"Huh?.." she whispered, not knowing what this stranger was doing.

Dot sat down inside the car closing the door behind her, she held up the keys and put them in the ignition, the little car had no clue what she was doing nor understood why she was being bothered. Dot turned the key in the ignition to start up the car, the only sound that could be heard was the loud "STRSTRSTRSTRSTR" of the cars sputtering starter, the engine did not start. The little car shook and quivered, her lights and dials all turning out, lights flashing and flickering, she let out a small shriek being frightened by the sound and feeling of being to start and turned on during such hour of the day.

"EEK!?" she shouted! Dot still determined to get her to start her up. She turned the key numerous times, but the little car... named lilly, only sat there shivering.

Dot was confused, the engine wouldn't start, no matter how hard she tried, and she finally let go of the keys and took them out of the ignition... Lilly only sighed as her engine clicked off from all the sputtering. Dot only let out a confused "what?" As she sat there completely confused.

Dot climbed out of the car and closed the door with the keys in hand, lilly locked her doors herself, dot shuttered and looked at the little car.

"Wha-?! Sorry.. did I wake you??" Dot asked with a concerned look.

"Oh I'm sorry! You scared me! Your not my owner... I'm supposing your the mechanic they asked to fix me?" Lilly said politely, she wanted know who this stranger was and why they woke her up so abruptly.

"Yea I am! I'm here to fix the issue with why you wont start your engine! Do you know of what it could be?" Dot asked as she kneeled down to Lilly

"I dunno... My owner just tried to start me up one day and all of sudden it took them an hour to get me going! So they left me here... I think their mad at me! I didn't mean to break down!" Lilly explained, she had only wanted answers so she could be dependable again to her owner.

Dot looked at her and sighed, she patted Lilly's hood and then decided to chat with the small Acura.

"So you said your engine won't start?" Dot asked.

"Yes, it won't!" Lilly said

"What's your name little car?"

"Lilly... Yours?"

"My name's dot! You can trust me! Ill get you fixed up in a flash! Just pop open your hood and I'll take a look!"

Dot slipped the keys in her pocket while standing back up, she grabbed Lilly's hood while opening up the latch. Lilly watched her carefully kinda scared of what she'd do, but dot only stayed calm and stood up the hood with the metal support rod.

"What are you gonna do to me?..." She asked.

"Just look and see if I can find any issues.. you don't mind right? I think a little check up would do you good!" Dot explained.

Lilly looked at dot and then around the lot, it was still pretty foggy out and the sun was still rising. Dot grabbed a few tools out a nearby tool bag she had set down, she then peared over Lilly's engine and turned on a flash light looking through and tugging things.

"Wha-!? H-hey! What's with all the tugging and pulling???!! Why are you looking around??!" Lilly jumped and asked in a frightened tone. She tugged on dots leg comfused as ever.

"Woah!?" Dot gasped. "Sorry! I'm trying to see if you have any other issues! It's only a simple check up! No harm!" She explained calmly.

"Alright... please be careful!..." Lilly said with a shakey voice. Lilly quivered and tried to stand still as dot looked around for any issues, but she couldn't really see well with all the fog.

"Try starting your engine" dot asked.

"Alright!" Lilly said.

She started trying to start her engine but she instead got too warn out, she coughed and fell flat on the ground out of being tired.

"Sorry... I'm pretty tired...!" She said with a large sigh. Dot looked at her and then the engine, she then got an idea.

"Maybe it's the spark plugs! All I can really get from what I've collected is that your engine won't fire right up! Must be something related to the spark plugs! But Id have to wait to install it considering how dense the fog is.."

Dot explained it all to Lilly trying to seem hopeful, but lilly still seemed upset.

"Oh I see..." Lilly sighed disappointedly.

"Oh? What's the matter!? I figured it out! I know it sucks waiting, but id like to wait considering I'd be too afraid to mess up the job! Don't be upset! I promise I'll fix ya!" Dot said with sympathy.

"I know! But I want to be able to drive again! My owner needs to depend on me! What use am I without having a good engine to relay on...!" She explained.

Dot looked at Lilly and then shut her hood, she sat down baside lilly and decided she'd wait with Lilly instead of leaving her alone in the cold foggy dawn.

"What are you doing?... Don't you have important things to do?.." lilly asked.

"No, I don't mind waiting with you! Plus it's better than walking all the way back home for nothing! You deserve the company!" Dot said with a smile.

They both seemingly didn't mind each other and just decided to sit in the lot to wait till the sun to rise high enough, it wasn't too bad of a morning that day.
