This is really cool! Did you cast it then paint it or did you add color to the material during casting? I'm trying to learn more about this stuff and it's a bit overwhelming.

That is addicted to the material you use. Flexible parts should be tinted and primed befor casting. Its all about try and error ;)

An axe like that looks like something John Pope and his Berserkers might make and use in Falling Skies. I can imagine Pope splitting a few Skitter or Espheni heads with the with business end of that axe.
