Really excited about this one--I made it to use as my ID here on dA I used this tutorial by *CassiopeiaArt as a guide. The background border was done by hand using the rectangle, ellipse, and pen tools--it was probably the most tedious part --and the outlines were also drawn with my tablet. Everything else, besides my photo, is either a brush or a texture.
EDIT 7/10/12: ~Azalane used this as a reference for a lovely painting!
The photo, wing, and roses seem blurred but the rest of the picture is in good focus which kind of put them at odds, but overall I really like it. The colours work well together; the pose fits well with all elements; and despite the black lines separating certain pieces, it all looks like it belongs somehow. Good work!~
It's a nice piece! I would like to know if I can take it as a model for a gift? I was actually searching ideas for a watercolor painting for my mother and what you did is exactly what she loves: fairies with a little bit gothic. I would give her that present in a month when I'll see her at my hometown.
I don't want to steal your work, I just want it as an inspiration. I will credit you of course!
I really like the elements you put together to make this Art Nouveau photomanipulation - you look so lovely in this portrait and the feminine wings, roses, swirls and arches are soft and complimentary - and I will look more at the tutorial to get an idea of technical process
