...or are you beautiful because I love you?

Final project for Computer Graphics I: make a booklet with a theme of 10 things, using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. My theme is "10 Broadway Musicals". My first concept was to create an entire photomanipulation illustration in Photoshop for each musical representing a scene, and while my professor appreciated that I was thinking big, she advised that I just do a vignette of a character to go with each musical because I didn't have enough time to do something so complex.

So that's what I ended up doing: making a quick photomanipulation for each character in a frame, hanging on a wall, with a lyrics excerpt inside a vector border made in Illustrator.

Page two is Cinderella and Chris from Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella, which is also not a Broadway musical. It was a made-for-TV musical, filmed live with Julie Andrews in the late 1950s. Two more TV movies were made of this as well--on in the '60s, and the other in 1997 starring Brandy, Whitney Houston, and Whoopi Goldberg. That one is probably the most famous version, and it's the one I remember watching (obsessively) when I was a kid.

:star: Listen to the song here: Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?
