What initially started out as a Valkyrie slaying a wolf ended up as a far more Germanic woman dressed as a landsknecht and posing with a freshly killed boar. A very unpredictable girl.
The Baron had tried to get his daughter Grizelda married for many years, but she scared the suitable suitors away with her rough unladylike manners. The Baron proclaimed that whomever killed the dreaded boar of the Blackwoods would get Grizelda's hand in marriage and a position as commander in the Baron's army. This way the Baron hoped to attract a hardier crop of suitors.
Grizelda was not too keen on this idea. So she picked up a soldier's uniform at the laundry and one of the smaller zweihänder swords from the armory, went to the Blackwoods and killed the boar herself.
A nice illustration that makes me curious about the story.

What now daddy dear?
