Your welcome! Glad it was helpful! I'm curious - what cosplay are you working on, and what are you thinking about molding?

The goddess Palutena. Her big hip jewel. I have been looking up different methods to try for making that thing. :3

I don't recognize the character, but the outfit looks really cool! You could definitely make the jewel out of hot glue. I don't know if this is something that would interest you, but I saw a cool tutorial on how to make jewels out of resin, I thought I'd share it with you! [link]

That is really good tutorial. Thank you!

Palutena is from the Kid Icarus game series. She is really funny to listen to and I love her green hair.

What is it like to paint on? I take it the harden glue can give a nice smooth finish if I used acrylic?

Acrylic works well on top of hot glue. I'd recommend you use several layers of paint - since the glue is clear, the first layer of paint comes out a bit transparent. In some cases, the acrylic paint will flake off the hot glue. If you want to be safe, use a spray sealant to give it a clear-coat. Hope this is helpful!

No that's brilliant! Thanks so much, always wary of what paints to use. Did think it would flake so better to ask to confirm it. Will give it a go though! Thanks again!

Neat, I would have never thought of this.

I learned about it from a theater props handbook, and it works great!
