So, let me start off by saying I am absolutely in love with my puppy, Mason. He is so happy to be alive, especially after the dark past he came from.
Here's the house he was rescued from (warning: disturbing images
And here he is now:fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net…
Unfortunately, recently he's been having some bad tummy issues. He's been acting really depressed and sleeping almost all day. He also wouldn't eat. So I took him to the vet to find out the poor guy was infected with giardia - a nasty intestinal parasite. It looks like he may have had it a while (possibly since before he was rescued), poor thing. First vet bill was $120.63. He was prescribed some medication to take, and I had to monitor him over the past week. While the problem has improved, he is most definitely still having tummy issues. I called the vet again to inform her and she says we'll have to give him a higher dosage and include another medication into the mix. This time it is $90.67.
I have had a lot of financial hardships lately, and this is just killing me. I love this dog and I am NOT giving him up. But I don't know what to do. The past two months I have had to dip into my saving's account just to pay bills, as I was hit with an unexpected $500 charge back in May that I haven't been able to fully recover from. I am now in the negatives AGAIN and while I CAN pay for his medication with what's left in my savings, it just makes me sick to my stomach to know that if something else happens, I'll be screwed. I've been homeless before and I'm so scared it'll happen again.
Normally I try to keep this stuff to myself, but I'm just so scared. My poor baby. I'm sorry for this post.
I'm more than willing to take commissions right now to help pay for the money for his medication, and I'll even cut the prices. Quality will remain the same. Prices are as follows:
Sketches OR inked: $5
Flat color: $10
Full, shaded color: $15
No backgrounds, please, since they take a long time, and please only one character per drawing
I take PayPal.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate it.
