Master Sculpt-Mask by Blitzava Master Sculpt-Mask by Blitzava
I tried out monster clay for the first time! First I made a little figure and then this guy! I like him a lot. He's a bit cuter and nicer looking than I was originally going for but TBH I still really like him as a first attempt. Plus pat of the goal was to really experiment and push myself with the new medium to see how I liked it.

Monster Clay is awesome btw....it's like sculpting wax and modeling clay had a far superior child that doesn't hate the person working with them.....it's so...clean and nice to work with and i look forward to using it for more larger prototype stuff. This was made with the "medium" hardness.

He took about a whole day to sculpt, then another day to mold and cast. This is the original sculpt that came out of the mold pretty intact so I wanted to get a few pictures before I squished him!

I'll be using a cast to make myself a new "Wasteland Werewolf" mask for DragonCon this year (the character mask is just monsterous, not canine-specific...I like teeth). I figure plenty of time to work on it passively, maybe even have enough time to do up another custom on the base for sale!
