Description

After years of wanting to draw out and redesign Tschoepkendt's 'weasel' form, I finally took the time to do it! (And colored with my neglected water colors).  Being it is so mischievous, I feel its form needed to reflect that better, and nothing says mischief like a mask. (This form is based off the bridled (long tailed) weasel and to a small extent the columbian back striped weasel.)  This version not only fits the character better, but is insanely fun to color.

Here's some info on this mischief ball.

Name: Tschoepkendt (Full form) Tschepke (short form) (Ssko-ep-kent/Sskep-ke)

Title: None. (Does not serve Fate but follows Tiero, who does)

Soul Affinity: Elemental of Balance

Unlike standard Beings, an Elemental is a sentient and pure shard formed from the Ancients (before they became physical) that doesn’t truly have to exist in solid forms, but can take forms it wishes to interact with the current regime, including its parent element -in this case Tschepke can dissolve into Balance.  This makes Elementals vastly more powerful than a Being in terms of verve.   Tschepke prefers to only take two different forms usually even though as a creature of Balance, it is capable of infinitely more.

Appearance: Generally it only takes the form of a weasel like creature or raven like creature.  It is more comfortable in the ravenish form, as it is more freeing from physical constraints of the Elements, and tends to take this form more often to tail Tiero or monitor a situation.  It usually is in its weaselish form when it wants to antagonize Tiero, or be more subtle with its movements.

-

Gender:  Souls  are genderless (they do not procreate, so gender is meaningless.  This being the case, they also lack all functional related characteristics and anatomy to reproduction.  Beings do create other Beings from the Elements if they can spare it without upsetting the flow of Fate. Only when a mortal form is taken  by a soul would it have a gender.  Tiero is the only Being of Fate that becomes a mortal and returns to Fate however.

Elementals do not create others of their kind, and  as it stands, since the Ancients became physical, therefore what Elementals are present are all there will ever be in Existence.

-

Height:  ~18” high in raven form, ~15” long head to rump, another 13” of tail in weasel form.

Age: Time isn’t exactly measured within Fate, just on states of being/comparison.  Tscheopkendt is an Elemental so has been around before the time of Fate and Chorin/Acekantun even.

Personality:

Tschepke is a spry and intelligent spirit, who enjoys going with the flow of things and avoiding physical conflict if possible.  Sadly for it, this is usually not possible since it associates with Tiero, and Tiero tends to create conflict.

Having met when Tiero served at the Bastille, Tschepke follows Tiero around for reasons known only to the Elemental.  The two have a “love/hate” relationship, often quarreling with each other, but both look out for the other’s safety and welfare rather fiercely.

Tschepke is very wise, and usually mentors Tiero on the way things are, usually doing such in riddles just to jest its companion.  Tschepke enjoys arguing philosophies best among all it argues with Tiero about.  Though not bound to Fate, Tschepke stays within its confines due to Tiero, and aids Tiero in keeping order within Fate.

The only Being Tschepke can truly communicate with is Tiero, as most other beings within Fate cannot communicate with Elementals, as physical forms created a language barrier to those without true form.  Not liked much by Chorin, and certainly not by Ask’ell, Tschepke attempts to stay out of their way for Tiero’s sake, and respects Chorin’s authority lest it get Tiero in trouble.   The other beings of Fate tolerate Tschepke well enough, but Tschepke usually doesn’t associate with any other than Tiero, and with Kieto at times.

Tschepke overall is rather mischievous, and loves riddles and playing games. It has an unfounded fondness for Beings that Tiero detests.  Because of that, Tschepke also likes to study others and situations, often watching all the beings from above.  Not being noticed or cared for by others allows Tschepke to learn more of Fate than is apparent at first, and also acts as a sort of lookout for Tiero, especially after Tiero is blinded.
