People always talk about Gaia with this reverential tone, like she’s some pure goddess who wishes well all with no ill will towards anyone. Like she was one of the “perfect race”, her skin not too dark but not too light, her eyes a striking blue, and her hair a long, flowing golden color. Like she was this pure, beautiful being.

Don’t get me wrong, she was beautiful. Gorgeous. Her hair was dark as could be: a shade above black, always laced and darkened with fresh mud and powdered with the dust of the earth that she so adored.
