Emelyn Morley and the Waking Dark [Saunmoor Book 1] is historical fiction set in Georgian England of 1735. It's an immersive story of supernatural mystery, harrowing drama and social politics, seasoned with romance, warmth and wit.

So I let this page sit idle for about year, and now it's time to execute. A little about me: I have always been a storyteller, fueling my imagination on worlds of historical fiction, fantasy and adventure. In college I pursued a creative writing minor, studying acting, art and literature, ultimately receiving my degree in Renaissance and Enlightenment history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

For 20+ years I pursed a career in digital art and design, before coming home to my true love: writing. It was time to stop being a critic and get to work, and now after six years of writing and research I am proud to introduce my book series to the world.

I'll be using this space to post Saunmoor inspired (and other) artwork, as well as updates about B. Lawson Hull Books.
