In Aetherion, non-sapient beasts are a vital part of the city. Mounts, hunting companions, work aides, pets, and more roles are fulfilled as people go about their lives and work. Due to their connection to nature and magic powers, the folk can tame and work with all sorts of great and exotic creatures big and small. Dinosaurs, wyverns, megafauna, sea creatures, giant bugs, great monsters, and so much more. Non-sapient, they don’t talk or run jobs, but are treated with respect and care, the citizens making sure they are cared for with various magics and techs helping with comfort and happiness. After all, no one wants to have a stressed beast rampage, even in a city of immortals. As such, homes are made magically spatially expanded for such creatures, as well as given plants, enrichment, and terrain to make them feel at home.
