Description

Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter Longstocking is my pick for number six, by the virtues of kindness, innocence and independence.
I used to be quite the bookworm when I was little, reading extensively about mythology, ghost stories, science fiction and the occasional adventure. Pippi Longstocking arguably belong in the latter category. She was not the only one who qualified as my number six, which I felt should belong to a character type I very much feel is not only enjoyable when done right, but actually has a great influence: The strong, independent woman. Or girl, in this case. The other...uh, contestants were Tali'Zorah nar Rayya vas Normandy from Mass Effect, and Izumi Curtis from Fullmetal Alchemist. One reason I decided to go with this one is that most of my picks are either American or Asian, so I figured I could switch it up by adding at least one more European character. The other being, of course, Sir Simon of Canterville, created by Irishman Oscar Wilde.
Anyway, something that I find unfortunate in many "strong woman" portrayals is that many writers seem to think that a woman cannot be strong and kind at the same time. Kindness is seen as a weakness in many cases, and this results in unlikable and one-dimensional characters. That is why I ultimately decided to go with Pippi. Of the three choices, she is arguably the happiest, most fun-loving and clearly the most innocent.
As with the Ghost of Canterville, I could go more in depth about her stories, but I encourage you to read the books by Astrid Lindgren yourself.

I am aware that she looks like a cross between a Slow Lori and an ulcer, but if you don't give me critique, this is what happens.
I kid, but seriously, feel free to point out how I could improve. I have a lot of improving to do.
And I admit freely that I only do the faces because honestly, it looks better. I did a full-body Pippi too, but I am not submitting that. I have some dignity.
