When I started making my first plush I never suspected how fun it would end up being. What can I say? I like being creative~! Love

I'm open to receiving commissions from people to make custom plushies or even regular ponies from the show. Of course there's a whole lot of information that I have to put up regarding this and that will change over time. I'll try to keep this updated. So here's the basics. More complicated details can be handled via email, which is listed below. :)

As of May 3, 2017:
-Remember not to publicly post sensitive information. Use personal messaging or email. My email is listed at the bottom of this blog entry.
-Commissioned characters must be pony mare or stallion only. Can be Earth pony, unicorn, pegasus, or alicorn. Standard body shapes only. Fetlocks and glow in the dark thread are available options (costs a little extra). I'll add more options and subspecies later.
-No color gradients, patterns (i.e. speckles), or excessive striping (i.e. zebra). Minky is not easy to dye. I'll experiment with this later.
-Accessories and attire may be accepted in the request but may also add significant time or cost. In other words, request a pony with a fancy dress and expect it to take that much longer. I may turn down certain accessories or attire if they are impossible to actually make.
-I accept Adult-themed requests, but whether or not the request fits your budget depends on the details of the request.
-Reference picture of character must be provided for obvious reasons. For OCs, I can work off of relatively low-resolution pics because I will be creating the HD source cutie mark and eyes myself (and given to the requester for free). Redrawn cutie marks and eyes will be verified with the requester before embroidery begins.
-No changes will be accepted to any designs or requests after creation begins. So the requester can't change how they want the cutie mark after the original design was verified with them and embroidery has occurred. Likewise, no color changes after materials have been ordered. I continue to acquire various fabric colors and can provide real world photos in various lighting for color choice confirmation before materials are ordered. Color samples I do not have in stock can be viewed via manufacturer images or the requester may wait until I receive a sample to provide photos with. All non-attire/accessory fabric used is Shannon Fabrics Minky Cuddle 3.
-Sizes offered are 16in Tiny, 30in Little, and 48in Life-size. Measurement depends on whether the pony is standing or laying (Cuddle). The measurements given here are for laying Cuddles. Cost depends on specific request. Simple designs will be cheaper than complex ones. So lots of accessories or modifications might double the price. As a general rule...
-Partial downpayment is required for OC requests. This means that a part of the price (typically $50) must be paid to me before I begin work. This is to prevent people from placing a commission order and then not paying when it's ready. Needless to say, that would be insanely costly to me.
-Creation time depends on request. More complicated designs take longer. Larger sizes also take longer. If there is no pre-payment then I may have to save up for the materials first. Likewise, any materials I have to order to complete the request will have their shipping time added in. Therefore, a simple Tiny request that uses only materials I already have might be completed in 1 week. A Life-size request where I do not have the materials already may take 1-2 months.
-The requester will be given updates on the commission as I make it. Photos may be provided upon request. Wink/Razz
-There are NO shipping charges added to the commission price UNLESS shipping international (outside USA) or special cases such as Hawaii, Alaska, protectorates, etc.
-International requests may be accepted under the condition of full pre-payment of the commission and coverage of international shipping costs. This involves handling of customs papers. I can do this but I will not pretend that it is cheap.
-Payment methods: Paypal only. Check by mail may be accepted only for pre-payments and must clear checking before work begins. However, I may be able to handle alternate payment methods such as Amazon Payments or Dwolla upon request. No time guarantees if I have to set up a new method.
-Lastly and again, please DO NOT publicly post personal information. Talk to me in private messaging or email (preferably) when you want a commissioned plushie. :3

See my latest DA update for current non-OC plushies I have for sale. Characters I put up for auction or on Etsy are typically cheaper than original commissions. Some characters may be more expensive if they have features that take significantly more time to work on such as Sunset Shimmer's mane and tail (Her auction price is $300 compared to $260 for Fluttershy).

In June (and on the first official day of summer) I began a new multi-chapter story, A Summer for Couples. It's pure Shining Cadance because I felt the world could do with a little more of that. ; )

In July (this is the last day of the month), I've continued to add chapters to both A Summer for Couples and Hive Alive. I've also been working on miscellaneous art in addition to a brand new cover for Hive Alive. I also began one of several editing cycles for my all-new full-length original novel that I'll be releasing in less than two months. The Retelling of Queen No More came out this month along with all of the art upgrades that came with it.

Back in May, I also released the one-shot Her Nightlight along with the associated art.
Put some stuff up to get up to date with what I've done. HD Wonderbolts Logo is now up for anybody to use. Just released Bunnyscotch. Keeping up with work on Hive Alive and new stories - both FiM and original.
For those who keep tabs on my stuff at, you probably know that's where I've been spending my energy. I've done several pieces of art that haven't been added here on DA because, I'll be honest, I've been too lazy to prep the originals for upload. I'll get around to it eventually because I'm always doing more art anyways.

I've been spending most of my time on writing, though. In example, Hive Alive is about ready to hit 100,000+ words.
Been spending time keeping up on Hive Alive's updates. Recently finished and posted A Very Twily Chrystmas to I'll upload the full-size gift image sometime soon.
I have been busier than ever though obviously not so much with art. Those that have been reading Hive Alive over on probably know that I've been doing some writing. I've also started writing a retelling of Queen No More. Thirdly, I'm writing an original sci-fi novel and am knocking out 50,000 words of it in this month's NaNoWriMo (16,000 already done). I'm doing a bucket load of programming for a couple business sites as well.

I'm pumped for the upcoming season 4 of MLP:FiM along with the Trading Card Game that's coming out. I just wish I could do more drawings but I simply have no time for it with everything else I'm already doing. Perhaps I'll have some more time for it in January when some of my work cools down.
Writing, drawing, and programming. I spend most of my time doing those three things. Unfortunately, I'm just one individual and never have enough time in the day to spend as much time on all three as I want. I haven't done much in drawing lately because I've been writing and programming. As mentioned last update, Hive Alive is what I'm currently writing on and it looks like I'll be writing it for quite a while. Maybe I can make some time for a new drawing anyways. Now what shall I draw...?
Finally got a sliver of time to post something. I finished the fimfic Bullets of Fire, which took a year to write. Now, I've started the fimfic Hive Alive and I've posted the cover image that I drew for it. I'm also writing an original story that I might eventually post stuff for.
I've been completing a few drawings here and there but nothing I'm going to post yet. Mostly I've been busy with programming and work reviews. I've almost reached the mark to where I've been writing the fimfic Bullets of Fire for one full year. Thankfully, I'm wrapping it up with only a few more chapters to go. Perhaps I'll get something done for posting in a month or two. I hate doing journals with no art uploads. It feels so empty.
I've been going back to programming and writing so I haven't done much with drawing. Sometimes I wish I could clone myself so I wouldn't have to choose between the three activities. Anyways, I'm getting ever closer to finishing Bullets of Fire of I've already completed the first chapter of another fimfic, which means I've also completed another MLP vector drawing (actually two to be technical). Hopefully I can finish one fimfic, post the other, and upload the MLP vector here within two months. I prefer to be realistic about writing times (you can't rush art).
Goodness sakes, time is flying. I've put some of my own drawings on hold and have been spending less time writing since I've been pressed to get Kaeru Digital's code finalized for launch. I still want to get another MLP drawing out and finish the Bullets of Fire fimfic, so I'll try to make time if I can.
There are many ways to approach fanart and I think it's important to talk about this. At the very least, it makes sense to mention it given the fact that most of the art I have here on DA is fanart.

One way of approaching fanart is merely to draw like you usually do. Take a character or object from a show that you are a fan of and draw it in your own natural style. I've seen a lot of fanart like this (much of it is done this way) and I usually like the results. At the same time, it's an artistic interpretation. The character or object is represented in a very different tone than the way it was in the show because the artist's own style has morphed the original into something a little different. The most stark example of this would probably be if you took a character from a shounen show and drew it in classical shoujo style. Very different feel.

Another way of approaching fanart is to mimic the original. I don't mean tracing the original but rather strictly using the angles, colors, and proportions from the original show. It is practically impossible to distinguish such fanart from the official art because it was designed to be in THAT style.

A third way of approaching fanart is to compromise between the above two methods. A little bit of the original style mixed with your own.

Personally, I tend to do my fanart with the second method. I like being able to express fandom by [basically] creating more of what I like. It's just an artistic choice. On the upside, it means I get to study different art styles. I've already learned a lot about angles, dimensions, and shading. Not to mention all of the flaws. Every show I've ever watched (including the ones I really like) contain plenty of artistic flaws. But they're the kind of things you don't notice unless you think about it for too long.

I would never say that any of my art is perfect (some of it I will never be happy with) but it's not such a big deal when considering that no one else has perfect art either. That's supposed to be encouragement for you (not a burn). xD
I realized something about art a little while back and I've found it to be particularly true of late. As an artist, I never particularly like what I upload. Oh, sure I like it to the point that I don't feel I should work on it more and all that. But I always see the flaws and feel the urge not to post it or share it with anybody.

And then, as I started expanding my own drawing abilities, I started to notice things I never noticed before. TV shows, manga, comics, and games all had flaws in their art - sometimes even severe flaws! When I wasn't drawing my own stuff, I never noticed this and even praised that artwork as being something I could never aspire to accomplish myself.

So I guess I'm saying that no piece of art is really flawless and that you shouldn't compare your work so much with others rather than just make it the best you can. And, of course, post it. Because, looking back, I'm amazed at the lower quality of my past work and encouraged by how I've improved. I'll keep doing my best to improve because I want as few flaws as possible. I won't ever stop seeing my own flaws but I'm happy to keep working to reduce and remove which ones I can.

Never think that you can't. Just work so that you can.
I'm back from a little break and I've uploaded my latest drawings. I'm considering drawing the cover for my next fimfic but I also want to do a piece for Kaeru Digital so I've got plenty to draw - as usual.
I've been working on a lot of things recently and I mean a LOT. I'm almost done with my next drawing. It's a second Shugo Chara piece but the background has taken longer than I thought to draw. After that, I will be drawing some original stuff for Kaeru Digital - various artwork I can use. I really need to finish the next chapter of my ongoing fimfic Bullets of Fire (…). Maybe I'll get to work a little on that today. I've also been doing a lot of pre-writing related stuff for an original novel that I want to write sometime soon.
I'm setting up a group for Kaeru Digital - an e-publishing business that I've been working on. Ever thought of doing some original works? Think you got talent? Well, I'll see about that. In any case, I intend to kick-start a creativity wave through Kaeru Digital. It's about time we saw the birth of something new, yes?
It struck me that most people don't know why I tag things as "Clean Character." Let me clarify. When I say something is a Clean Character, I mean that it is a full-body shot of a character and also a PNG with a transparent background. This means that the character can be cleanly moved into another image such as a wallpaper or background vector. That's all there is to it.

I'm focusing more on writing than drawing right now. Got a story to try to finish on…
I've uploaded all my wallpapers for celebrating my 100-deviation mark. Feel free to pick your favorite symbol! I can even do more if requested.
Have an awesome day/night, everypony! (it's darkish where I am xD)

36 Celebration 100 Walls…
9 Special Edition Walls…
I've done quite a few cutie marks already but there are still more I wish to do. However, I will soon be uploading a special series of wallpapers in personal celebration of reaching 100 uploaded deviations. There will be one for each cutie mark as well as white and black versions, so you can just pick whichever symbol/color you want!

I now do wallpapers in double 1080 png. If you need a wallpaper at a different resolution/dimension/file-type then just ask and I can convert it for you. It always looks better when you convert the image rather than force a stretch. If you're adventurous than you can convert it yourself easily using GIMP.

I'll probably upload the walls this coming Monday.

G'night, all!

It's daytime again. xD

I've completed and uploaded three more cutie marks:
Bon Bon
Princess Cadance

That's it for the cutie marks for now. I won't be doing any more unless somepony asks for one (or I just feel like it at some later point).
Tomorrow, I will upload the 100-Mark wallpapers. There's a lot of em!
I'm also doing some Special Edition versions that will also be uploaded soon.
Finished all my high-res cutie mark drawings - all of the mane 6. Everypony is welcome to use them however they want without asking. It's just so ridiculous to have to draw the marks again and again since they never change anyways. It's much better to just slap them on like stickers. xD
Happy drawing, bronies!

Finished and uploaded three more cutie marks:
Princess Luna
Princess Celestia

Finished and uploaded four more cutie marks:
Shining Armor
Vinyl Scratch
