Much of this artwork is inspired by my many travels to China as well as the many many Chinese TV shows, books, and comics I've watched/read/observed...

I tend to prefer more PR China Mainland cultural movies and TV shows rather than Hong Kong made which is often modernized and odd... Tho' I still heavilly watch films from Hong Kong and I especially like HK slapstick comedies.


Sometimes You might notice some anime influences... which I also often saw in China.

I've read "Xi You Ji" (The Journey to the West) and "Dream of Red Mansions". So, I have much influences from these famous ancient classic Epics. I also have some very very vague knowlege from "Feng Shen Ban"... but, I can't find it in English. Therefore, I have little knowlege other than what I was told or heard of it. And, I've only somewhat and vaguely heard of Pu Song Ling's ghost/fox stories.

You will also notice my own creative influences in some drawings which come from my own personal dreams.

A favorite Chinese god which I like to draw is the Qilin 麒麟, which is how I got the name 任思麒.
