Summary - The story of how Athena and Poseidon competed for the patronage of Athens, by offering gifts. Poseidon creats a well, and then the horse, and almost makes a threat. Athena offers one gift, the olive tree-- which can be used for food, fuel, timber, and more. The people of Athens, and the Olmpians, chose Athena, bringing a legacy of wisdom and strategy, but eternal problems with water supply.
CHARACTERS
Athena - Goddess of Wisdom and War
Also known as Minerva, Pallas, Athena Parthenos, Athena Panhellenios, etc.
Athena is a goddess, and thus eternally beautiful. She appears young, with a wise calm face, piercing eyes, but with a muscular build. Her hair is long and dark, but practical. Her eyes are light grey.
She wears a short white woman's toga, a golden breastplate, a golden classical greek helmet with a plume, a short sword (gladius) with a golden hilt and scabard, and a wooden spear with a golden tip. S
