I loved this drawing and for many reasons.
It's opaque, but the character has a lot of style. With a human expression, an incredible design, a lot of detail, anatomically is very well, an impeccable dress, that tail of lion that goes straight forward, the bottom that gives that sensation of movement and that gives more contrast to the image. ..
Without a doubt, you have just won a Watch. Congratulations for this draw
I’ll be honest, I don’t really have anything “bad” to say about this.
I love the way all the colors just fit well together! They all feel very balanced, overall, and that makes it very nice to look at. The way you drew and painted her hair is great, too! It’s flowy and somewhat vibrant, plus I think the shaved(?) part of her head has a nice touch of realism.
I think you have a great grasp on anatomy, so far. Her pose looks very natural, and nothing about it feels awkward or wrong. With her pose, which I’m assuming is while she’s in combat or some other kind of action pose, I think she would have a much more intense expression. Her face seems too relaxed for what she’s doing, but maybe I’m reading her body language incorrectly. I guess she isn’t totally human (which I’m assuming because of her tail and ears) so maybe she’s not even breaking a sweat, in which case just disregard what I said, lol.
I love the way you’ve shaded this! I don’t have anything to nitpick with the lighting, you’ve done a great job with that as well. The scars on her face and body all look believable and realistic, and more importantly, you can clearly tell that they’re meant to be scars. The eyes are probably my favorite, they’re somewhat sultry here and very sparkly!
One thing I’ll say for the sake of giving you a good critique, is that you could maybe make the light source more immediately relevant. You can clearly tell where the light is coming from, thanks to the shading you’ve done on her body, but the same can’t be said for the background. I know it’s blurred because of her movement, but it still seems like it doesn’t fit with how light and shadow are hitting her. To me, it looks like there would be a lot more light hitting her torso rather than her back since there’s a lot of light in the background around her torso.
I don’t think there’s much else to add, you’re very skilled already! I’m not 100% sure if I’m right on the background lighting but I thought it was worth a mention.
