The now enslaved Elaisu are an ancient race, they and the now extinct Elves are the oldest of the fair races.
The Elaisu are small: males average 4ft 5in tall, 5ft is considered very tall to them. Average weight 85-100 lbs. Females are 4-4ft 5in tall, 70-80 lbs.
Elaisu of both genders are considered attractive by other Elaisu if their figures are very straight and lacking any curves. Filaani suffers from an affliction known as "corbaed" which makes her heavier muscled and curvier than that other Elaisian females. She is considered hideous by Elaisian males (the scars make it even worse for her). Her white curly hair is also a symptom.
Elaisu have cat-like noses, and have large downward pointed ears. Their teeth are pointed, and are rough tongued (like a cat’s tongue) Elaisu have retractable claws in their hands and feet. They also have a tail that begins at the end of their spine, and when relaxed fully reaches their ankles. Their tail is fully poseable and are capable of precise movements, it is surprisingly strong also, Elaisu are capable of hanging from it, though would only do so in an emergency, as it is a frowned upon because of stereotyping and human derogatory “monkey-cat” slur. The tuft of hair grows in on tip of their tail at the age of sexual maturity.
Rarely Elaisu show “ancient blood” (very recessive genes) by being covered in short fur. Some only have fur on forearms and lower legs. Another ancient blood feature is enlarged canine teeth. These rare Elaisu could have some or all of these features. These Elaisu are something of a collector’s item for slave owners.
Racial slurs for the Elaisu: Lop (references their ears) Dog-nose. Monkey-cat, lop-ape, pole-child (referencing their thin stature) and many more.
Elaisu naturally move quickly, and would remind you of a squirrel, all movements are fast, and fluid. Enslaved Elaisu are taught to move more human-like, if they are to be seen by the public. Elaisu are typically quicker, more agile, and surer of foot than humans. Their dexterity is greater as well for instance an Elaisu would have no difficulty threading a needle. Elaisu are typically weaker than humans.
Elaisu can see in the dark nearly as well as the day, so long as their is some source of light. (Can't see in cave darkness.)
Elaisu gender names. Female: Elia (ee-Lee-a), Male: Elam (ee-lom) Child of either gender Eli (ee-lee)
Elaisu develope quicker mentally and hormonally. They end up with roughly the same intellect as humans, just get there faster.
