Beautiful! I made a point of only commenting on two of your photos because, honestly, I could spend a lot of time here. I'm a huge fan of bokeh, and I love it when the subject pops into focus. At 85mm and f5, with that amount of bokeh (and 8-points sides each), I'm going to assume you used a 70-200mm f2.8?

I really appreciate it. Thanks so much. No, I used an 85mm prime.

Ah yes, there's a special place in my heart for the 85mm prime. I'd love to try out the f1.2 version some day :)

I just got that one. So far I love it!

Nice work! It's pretty but also a little unsettling because it's not quite natural. I'm surprised you didn't alter her eyes as well as the ears, she's got a real unique look for sure. The way you got the background blurred out with the lens flare things popping out to the foreground is pretty nuts, it'd probably work really well on a shoot for jewelry, at least that's what it reminded me of.

Thanks! I didn't want to alter her eyes because I already love how surreal they naturally are :D Actually, the lights are in the foreground not the background ;)

I may try that in the future!

That is even more crazy.

I love her eyes. are her ears fake or surgical?
BlackCarrionRose's avatar
Right! Her eyes are crazy awesome. 'Shopped ;)

Very cool :) How did you do the ear?
BlackCarrionRose's avatar
lasso and warp. It was really easy. The trick is though, that once you finish the warp to make sure the shadows and light affect the area properly. i.e. I had to burn part of the hair to make it look like it was falling behind the ear correctly.

Well you did a great job. I thought warp might have been involved. Congratulations on the DD again :)

Goodness. She has the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. Great shot. I love her expression. :3

Beautiful portrait. What wonderful eyes she has.

Was the ear modification done before or after the photograph was taken? :)
