Do you think simplicity is, let's say, boring to see in a drawing?
I re-watched my Kursed and I believe her design is very simple but if I look at the original Kursed even her design is simple. I think some people like Kursed just because it's Krystal.

When I create a design, especially for what a character has to wear, I always ask myself: why he/she should be wear it?
In this case my Kursed is not a mercenary but a young girl on the run for reasons ... well you know more than me about this. So I thought more about a "street" design. it's simple but I hope this can still make the character interesting.
