My Pony Agate and Me

This was taken in 1980 when I started showing for the first time. I was 12 years old. Agate was a mix of Welsh Cobb and American Quarter Horse. He had won over 190 first place trophies before my folks got him for me--and had 220 by the time I grew to big for him. He had 4 white socks, a blue eye from the bald face, and a pretty flaxen mane and tail. I cried so hard when my parents sold him--that at the auction barn he sold 4 more times in an hour after the auction day was over and done.

My dad took the photo. He recently scanned it in and I thought I would share it. Show ring was in Isanti Minnesota for Double Bit Riders Saddle Club.
