Ok first off let me just say, I am trying to be as non-biased as possible when I write this, so do forgive me. So, I've been trying the Windows 8 consumer preview for a little while and I have to say I'm really in two minds with it. I don't understand Microsoft's logic behind the Metro UI at all. I don't see how it's "touch friendly" never mind "mouse & keyboard friendly." I'll come back to those points. Being a Linux user for almost 2 years now, I installed Linux to keep me away from the hell that is Windows, the only reason I kept Windows in a dual-boot was because I need my media programs for photo post-production and video editing, etc.

Yup, last week I turned 18 and I didn't even have a hang-over the next day... Weird that, seeing as I was drinking Southern Comfort straight, which btw is horrible! Always dilute it! In other news, I got a job offer yesterday although I haven't heard nothing back yet but here's hoping I finally have a job after waiting nearly 2 years!!! The other big news is that I've switched from Ubuntu Natty Narwhal (11.04) to Peppermint 2 which is sooooo awesome! True fact. In this day and age, money makes everything. Which is why I'm on a job hunt, and so far... Nothing. And it's not because I'm not doing enough, it's just that my government are just a shambles when it comes to financial things. I guess I'm not as bad as Greece, but the UK is just going down the toilet faster than you can say "plunge".
