North American Saberdarter

All right, here it is... Following a suggestion that I should do a transport version of the North American X-10 in the same way that I did with the Northrop Snark, I really fancied the idea and created a high-end business jet for the rich and famous (as opposed to the "economical" Sabreliner) using the airframe of the former and the canopy of the latter. Thus was born the SABREDARTER, which I elected to do in fake advertisement form. All the lettering, logos and visual elements were snatched from a period Sabreliner brochure and completely reworked. I absolutely love doing that kind of stuff... Hope you guys enjoy it!

Nice job aging the image. It looks like it clipped from a magazine from that era.

Thanks. That was the idea! :-)

Sterling Cooper has done a wonderful job with the ad.

Sorry, I don't get this remark. Are you talking about the original NAA brochure I used as a basis?

It is a reference to the TV series Mad Men. At one point the agency gets North American Aviation as a customer. This is just the thing that Don Draper's team would have come up with.

Seems really like the kind of poster one would have expected to find in magazines such as FLIGHT International.  Nice work! ^_^
