LE MAILLOT JAUNE
Here's a brand new imaginary album cover in a new presentation that makes it look like a real-life album. I will be using this format from now onwards. For those not familiar with cycling, Tintin is wearing the yellow shirt that is worn by the leader of the famed Tour de France.
I used the cover for the French Tintin Magazine N°245 (cover date 2 July 1953). I had to remove several elements from the cover (title box, sticker-like roundel) and recreate the background that was missing... I removed Snowy from his initial location (on the bike behind Haddock) and redraw Calculus's jacket; I added Snowy running next to Tintin; I added the guy on the left brandishing an advertising banner (created from two separate character from an illustration by Yves Rodier) ; I also added two villagers taken from 1970s magazine ads for a French margarine brand that were illustrated by Studios Hergé. Finally I moved the squirrel from the top of the tree to the main trunk and the cat's head so they could better be seen.

NAUFRAGES A LA DERIVE
Back in the fake Tintin cover game with a new series of images. I hadn't done much since 2012, but there'll be more stuff coming in from time to time now...
Just as a reminder of what this is about: I pick various elements from diverse illustrations by Hergé, combine them and turn them into realistic-looking imaginary Tintin album covers.
This was adapted straight from an original illustration by Hergé that was done for a postwar campaign to discourage black market practices. It was inspired by French painter Gericault's "Le Radeau de la Méduse", a very famous painting that can be seen at the Louvre.
I haven't figured out the plotline behind this particular cover, but seeing all these characters embark on a ship and nearly sink, only to be stranded at sea on a raft and having to bear one another for several days promises to be interesting!

This is strictly a tribute work by a fan for other fans. No commercial use involved.
All the characters, names and elements of artwork are © Casterman / Editions Moulinsart / Fondation Hergé
except "Consternan" which is the trademark of Bispro's Tintin re-creations

BROCANTE A MOULINSART
Back in the fake Tintin cover game with a new series of images. I hadn't done much since 2012, but there'll be more stuff coming in from time to time now...
Just as a reminder of what this is about: I pick various elements from diverse illustrations by Hergé, combine them and turn them into realistic-looking imaginary Tintin album covers.
In this imaginary story, Tintin decides to raise funds for a charity that looks after poor refugees, and set out to organize a massive jumble sale in Marlinspike's yard by selling a great number of the souvenirs he gathered throughout his travels.

TriRoc
The Mojave-based Scaled Composites, originally Burt Rutan's brainchild, is living up to its reputation of designing and building amazing (and often odd) flying stuff in record time... Their latest production is the Model 351 Roc, built for Paul Allen's Stratolaunch enterprise, quite simply the largest aircraft on Earth, able to carry space vehicles into the stratosphere.
The Roc is "only" a two fuselage aircraft... but what if it had three instead? This was the premise behind my TriRoc, based upon a photo of the real aircraft, to which I added an additional third airframe in the middle.

Chewba Chups
This reads: "The new 100% Wookie treat!"
Nice concept, don't you think? These sure would look good in stores!
