Magic & Transformations
- Can they use their magic in other ways besides transformation?
They can't really use any magic, apart from transformation - if they did, (which it IS technically possible) they would lose a chunk, or all of their magic. Since a BirdFolk's magic is it's soul and body, the Folk would cease to exist afterwards (Aka.Corruption)
- How long can they stay in their transformations?
It depends on the size of their transformation! A huge form could only be held for about fifteen minutes, but a smaller form could last over an hour!
- How many transformations can they have
The average Folk has about three! It does take time for a Folk to learn a new form! An experienced elder could have up to several forms!
- What does their transformation look like?
When transformed they always use their own natural colours. It will usually include some of the folks own personal features. More talented folk can perform a ''cleaner'' mimic.
- What can they transform in to?
Every earth animal, mythical creatures and other creatures from Kel Del (NOT humans, since they dont exist in Kel-Del)
- Are the adult forms of birdfolk a transformation they had to master? Or is it a more natural thing?
The 'adult forms' are much easier to master, and one of the first forms an Akriri learns! Theyre very instinctual, and can often change with the Akriri's imagination.
- Are their wings actually wings or a cloak?
In a way! With their transformation magic, they can easily manipulate their appearance. If a folk is wearing a cloak or scarf, they may have either made it, or manifested it from their own bodies!
- How tall are they?
1-2 feet tall! They can transform in to any size, but this requires magic!
- Do they sometimes befriend other species, or do they prefer to just bond with birdfolks?
They prefer to bond with other BirdFolk, being secretive. They do get curious though, transforming into Cether or Jahkl in order to try (steal) foods or buy (steal) trinkets.
They also have a very strong sense of community. If you see one BirdFolk, you bet that there's at least ten of them somewhere near!
- What do their towns look like?
It depends on their habitat, but will typically look like a cluster - almost a hive - of nests.
- What ''professions'' do they have?
The town will include folk with "professions", like gatherers, trinket makers, and elders (etc etc). Basically, do what you can to earn your keep! They can also barter goods.
- Do they have a lawsystem?
They don't have one particular law system - it varies throughout communities. Some are much more civilized, other are more tribal!
- What climate do they live in?
They live in a variety of climates - you can usually judge the weather by the Folk's clothing/feathers!
- What sort of currency do they use?
They use a barter system! But it's entirely possible for Akriri in a village to create their own!
