Traveller Modular Cutter

I like it. The old modular cutters in Traveller were basically just cylinders with a dome shaped front and a slight narrowing before the drives. Very boring. Granted, they fit nicely into circular docking stations, but that's the only good thing you could say about them. The cylinder isn't a lifting-body shape, so flying in atmosphere would be problematic, only possible because of the (hand-waved) anti-gravity drives all ships seemed to automatically have. Plus, the shape wasn't great for interior space, unless all you were hauling was liquid or gas.

This oval shape seems better overall, aethetically pleasing, more plausible aerodynamic and able to land on a planet's surface, and with a better use of interior space.

Also reminds me a bit of the "Space: 1999" Eagle spacecraft, or the ISSCV (InterStellar Space Cargo Vehicle) from "SPACE - Above and Beyond"
