After following a drawing initiation course and subsequent figure drawing course, I quickly found that out of all the media I played around with charcoal was my weapon of choice. Playing with contrasts while staying true to the form is the challenge I'm trying to master, and in doing so find my distinct style among fellow charcoal enthusiasts.
