Hoodeer are some of the only land-based animals to be found on every continent on Epimethius (including Pleona). They are relatively small and timid herbivores that live in small clans, at least one always acting as lookout while the others feed. Surprisingly intelligent, Hoodeer use different signals for different predators/dangers and react to each in a different way. Some problems require fleeing, others hiding, and a few can be dealt with by a shocking display of their fanning lip-hoods.
