Potes are a very diverse group, and many are strictly herbivorous. Those that feed on aquatic plants are excellent swimmers with webbed toes, though those feeding in shallow regions need to keep an eyestalk out for predators above the surface. The species that feed on downgrass get to be the largest due to the abundance of food, and they defend themselves with a variety of methods ranging from armored skin to the production of noxious fumes. Many species have evolved to camouflage themselves among Epimethius' flora, while others put on flashing bioluminescent displays to shock predators.
