Cervid Leg and Scalid Arm

These are the only real examples of a deviation from the standard land radial skeleton. Both Cervoids and Scalids needed longer, more flexible limbs to suit their lifestyles, so a slight rearrangement of the bones was necessary.

aren't the cervid's digits too thin?

I don't think so.

i'm just saying... deer seem to have more robust bones in their feet, not much thinner than the lower arm actually. ;P
