I think I'm getting a lot better at anthro/anatomy. it's just things like wrists, feet, and arms that bother me.
And just to make clear; Anthro Slin is NOTHING LIKE feral Slin who is in my comic.

almost looks like he is going to highfive himself. this is older but I think the hands and the feet are very well done.

Was my first and only painting program for a while. (and that was before they improved it a bit) then someone introduced me to GIMP. and at first the switch is like @_@ lol

gimp isn't as good as SAI paint tool :p
Shiftagen's avatar
That could be arguable. I've seen them both and SAI has some easier brush effects. the water tool is one example cool and not a part of vanilla gimp. XD

I used gimp for years but the day I tried out sai after watching falvie colour with it I used sai for every picture since.
It's so much lighter and more responsive to my tablet, and I'm able to make incredibly high resolution pictures. (upwards from 4500*4500px)
I use sai for my whole sketch/inking/painting process.
I do switch over to gimp for resizing, cropping, and using effects/filters like the stroke around this picture: [link]
Gimp is a lot slower and more likely to corrupt files though. So I just use it for finishing touches that aren't possible in sai.

That's a good idea. Use Gimp for what you can't do elsewhere. I like the technicality of gimp, and Ver 2.8 helped it be a lot much better. I really wish I could get more size variant with my tablet for lineart. (and I never tried a res that large) I have yet to try inkscape, and My sis Uses Sketchbook Ex. and Mypaint.

How strong is the content in your picture?

It has side boob and butt

I really think that the line work is incredibly easy in sai because when I was working in gimp, it would use up so much ram on my computer near the end that I had to wait like 3 seconds between brush strokes for it to load and appear on my screen.
Sai was just instant, and way easier to get desired brush effects

i think his legs start a little too high
bingles's avatar
I think they're perfect the ones where he's facing away, but the one he's facing foreword they should be higher
T-Ingles's avatar
no, they start too high o.o
bingles's avatar
No they don't, you just make them way too low all the time

Very,v ery excellent! The anatomy- especially when he's faced to the back- is wonderful. I love his little smile. c: Epic character; I love Anthro Slin!
bingles's avatar
Notice how in the facing forward for some reason his arm is thicker then the other? x)
