38th Special Forces Group

Two soldiers from B company, 38th Special Forces Group (US Army) are seen taking point during a raid on an isolated outpost. The troopers in this photo both carry identical M4A1 CQBR carbines, outfitted with EOTech 551 holographic sights, AN/PEQ-2B laser systems, and M900 flashlights. The operator on the left is equipped with a custom SIG P226 9mm pistol with an extended magazine and tactical light attached, stored in a vest-mounted holster. During this particular raid, two chalks of special forces personnel were deployed to the compound via blackhawks, and were supported by a further convoy of four lightly armoured GMVs. Intelligence seemed to point to the presence of databanks housed in the basement of the outpost containing the locations of concealed GPC fortifications around Kepler 41c, in addition to records pertaining to the entry of each individual unit to the system.
