Bought a small sketchbook. Some colored markers.Pencil.Back to old school I guess.Tried the iPad, didn't' give me the pressure sensitivity I wanted.Tried the Surface Pro, gave me the pressure sensitivity, didn't do what I really wanted, wasn't overly steady, was awkward in size and shape. Now I'm back to pen and paper.Wish I waited for the Wacom Cintiq Companion.

I've been using my iPad as a digital sketchbook and art tool.Apps I'm using:Drawing:Sketchbook Pro (by Autodesk)3d Arts:123d Sculpt (by Autodesk)Music:Garage Band with a Jam hook up and my guitarsWriting:StoryistI'm really amazed at what I'm finding myself able to do mobily on an iPad. I originally bought it for sketching on my commutes without needing to carry a ton of pens and markers and stuff. This has worked great for that. But then I found more apps. More fun. =)

So I bought an iPad because I wanted a digital sketchbook. It works great for it. I'm happy about the tool itself. I bought a 27 inch iMac, hooked up my wacom tablet, thinking that maybe, just maybe I'd focus and actually improve my game a bit when it comes to artwork, and I find I just can't.I have this thought, that if I practiced daily, I'd improve, but I just don't do the practice part. It's disheartening.I need a muse or something.Maybe ritalin.

To all the folks I follow regularly I just wanted to say that every single one of you in some way, shape or form, are an inspiration to me. You guys really give me the push I need sometimes just by seeing what you're working on. It's encouraging, especially in this day and age where the arts aren't supported the way they should be. So keep it up. Rock on!
