Ahhh! It looks great! Looking at your pictures it seems you had trouble in the exact same spot as I did, between its mouth and front leg, but looks like you made it through alright. What'd you end up doing for eye-holes?
MAMMALFEATHER's avatar
I tried poking a bunch of pin-holes so they wouldn't be visible, but since it wasn't up close to my face, it didn't really work. I usually let in sit on my ears so I could see, until someone took a picture or something. When we did the actual walk my boyfriend held my hand and I looked at the ground, lol.

what kind of paper do you use for printing it?
billybob884's avatar
Depends on your intended use; for any sort of handling (i.e. cosplay), a heavier cardstock will be more durable, but harder to work with. For display purposes only, regular copy paper is easier to work with, but fragile.

ok thanks, do you have a step by step instructions on how to construct it? could you email me it jreaume24460@hotmail.com
billybob884's avatar
There aren't any written instructions for it, but the PePaKuRa model file (PDO) is included (see the description of the 'Assembled' deviation). Read the "PePaKuRa" section of this to see how to use it: [link]

yea i already downloaded the model file but it dosent tell me how the peices should be folded
billybob884's avatar
The model is only usable as a guide, read the section of the document I posted to see how to use pepakura to help you build it.

I think all of them are hill folds other than the very few specified valley folds. Those seem to actually have dotted lines as opposed to the rest, maybe because lines in valley folds would be a lot less noticeable?
jreaume24460's avatar
ok thanks i'll look up how to do those

Well, the printing isn't a problem. I looked at the files in the Pepakura viewer, and I thought that it would be so hard because the pieces on each page were so unorganized. I clicked around on all the little cutouts, and the pages all had pieces that were all around it, not like, two or three pages having half of the torso. Do you get what I mean? I would put it together easily, save for time-consuming monotony coming from finding what goes to what by scrolling around the page with my mouse.

I don't remember them being that scatter-shot... but if they are it was due to the model's scale; I probably had to move a lot of pieces around to fit them all to a minimum number of pages

This is really hard to make, and I haven't even printed it. It's so... just, I can't put it into words. I'm scared to make it because I'm afraid once I print it, I won't be able to make it, and I'd have just wasted a bunch of paper...
