St. Johns Bridge

The St. Johns Bridge steel suspension bridge opened in 1931. It spans the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. One of Portland's many nicknames is Bridgetown, so named for the numerous bridges crossing the Willamette River, but the St. Johns Bridge is the only suspension bridge in the Willamette Valley.
