Bilious

Lol yeeeah with this piece I sort of just dove into it and kept fiddling around without any sort of intention or even strong starting sketch. I think planning out the sketch in the beginning would help better. I wasn't really aiming for realism, I guess it's obvious from (as WTP put it) the "Chicklet Teeth" lol but I'm glad that parts of it seemed to work. :3 It was mostly just an experiment to try to find his character, and I'm glad that part was successful at least. Going to experiment further next time and try to push it out of that purgatory ditch between intentions. X) Thanks!

SRS BSNS AMONGST FRIENDS.

Omg this is not pretty at all what is wrong with you her colors are good but she looks like a boy and whats up with that expression and her hands and feet aren't paws they're supposed to be paws don't you know anything it should be digigrade properly this looks like she's just pretending to be digigrade but is really plantigrade don't you know theres a difference because there is and does she have cheshire cat in her that would be really cool but seriously she doesn't have any boobs or anything either I think you typoed cause that's definitely a dude.

Two things stand out to me immediately, on in regards to the background in regards to the character, and another in regards to her face vs. the overall style of the piece.

In the issue of the relationship between background and character, there's a strange feeling of the scale being off. Judging the background and the (twigs? Trees?) to the left of the figure, and the background as your vanishing points come across, it feels as though she's a giant sitting on a giant stump. Perhaps something by the (sticks?) in the river to help establish their scale and not have them come across as just dead trees. I'm tempted to say a rock but that could very well be a boulder, but a frog or a turtle or something sitting on it would not only add extra detail but help give a definite sense of scale to the foreground.

As for the figure herself, I feel like her head does not match the precise attention to realism in the rest of her and it makes it feel a bit unnatural. Her anime-proportioned features feel very weird against her more realistic proportioned everything else in the picture. The proportions really help me find it difficult to gauge what her expression is all about. Is it supposed to be google-eyed enthusiasm? She almost looks as though there should be a speech bubble next to her saying "LOL U GAIZ." I'm not sure if that's exactly what you were aiming for. I think if you want to rework anything in this picture it would be her face and head. If you want to keep anime-styled proportions, I'd probably try to find an expression or something that makes it flow a bit more naturally (as naturally as the tiny mouth and nose and large eyes can seem anyway when portrayed "realistically") I'm not familiar enough with the character in question to give any good suggestions, but I trust your ultimate judgement. <img src="e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />
