Inanna Meets Qinglong - Ninurta's Hammer

During the peak of the success of Ninurta's Hammer, vocalist Inanna Morningstar desired to expand the subjects of the band's music beyond their Sumerian roots. Inanna travelled to the Mansion of the Azure Dragon to invite the mighty Qinglong for a possible collaboration on a new album.
"Wufang Shangdi" was recorded during the fall and winter of 1976 and was released in stores in the spring of 1977. It was a success with critics and audiences. A multimedia live tour was planned that ran from the summer of 1977 to the spring of 1978.
"Wufang Shangdi" became the source of much controversy among the more conservative Christian groups in the United States, particularly with the Moral Majority. Rev. Frank Flatus complained that Inanna "cavorting with a dragon invoked the imagery of The Whore of Babylon riding a seven-headed dragon."
Inanna and the rest of the band brushed off the accusation. Inanna responded curtly, "I need not be paid for a multitude of lovers, Qinglong has no need for seven heads, and I doubt Mr. Flatus (chuckles) has two brain cells to rub together."
